I made some activity sheets for my kids to use while they watch our October 2017 LDS General Conference.
I specifically wanted to focus on a few things: Watching, Listening, Writing, and Drawing.
These are geared more toward older kids, but can definitely be adapted for younger kids as well. I have a 7, 5, & 3 year old and will be using these for all of them.
Through each of these the kiddos have a chance to earn a small treat such as skittles, m&m's, marshmallows, or something healthier, (e.i. nuts & raisins) if you're not into giving your kids a sugar over-load. ;) And at the end for each complete worksheet they can earn a small dollar store item from our reward bin such as, stickers, bubbles, small toy, chips, or more candy, of course.
First- I want them to listen closely to the speakers, you can find the attached file for that here: Listening Sheet
As they listen for specific words they can color the pictures associated with each word, fill in the bubbles as they listen, and enjoy a little treat as well!
Second- I want them to watch closely and see the speakers, to become familiar with their faces and names. You can find the attached files for that here: Watching Sheet
Watching Sheet - Part 2
Third- I want them to be engaged and write things they hear (eventually when they are older take notes, but for now just simple words). You can find the attached file for that here: Writing Sheet
Fourth- I want them to review what they learned through art and draw a picture of the things they heard and felt, as well as draw a picture of their family... because "family is the center of life and the key to eternal happiness" -- L. Tom Perry, a quote we keep in our kids' bathroom. You can find the attached file for that here: Drawing Sheet
Feel free to use these if you wish! And if you do I would love to see them with the hashtag #ldsconfdeals
xoxo,
